IN THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF THE CITY, WE SEEK TRANQUILITY; IN THE QUIET SANCTUARY, WE SEEK THE JOY OF THE SOUL. Located in Chengdu, Pauli Jade and Yuet, the designer takes “joy in the midst, delight in silence” as the core, creating an aesthetic space full of caring, the origin of the design, which comes from solving the challenges of adaptive housing, it allows decomposition, allows emptiness, allows residents to fill their own life stories in the passage of time。

01 Integration - Open and Independent

The design, at its core, is to carve out effective space for residents, rather than forcing a default lifestyle. It should be like a permanent visual essay that flows through time; as a malleable plane that adapts to all possibilities; as a pure frame, concise and powerful; as a flexible display to accommodate future lifestyle changes. The walkway and the staircase form the spatial hub, capturing the emotions of going in and out, the rhythm of ups and downs, and a feeling of pleasure and freedom. Wood elements envelop the walls, enhancing the connection of the deep areas, giving the soul a sense of infinite belonging. The marble blocks are suspended between the wood finishes, and the mirror on one side is mapped, creating a fun “visual transformation” context.

The storage environment provided by Ganjang is sufficient to meet everyday needs, making minimalist layout a useful space in the living room, with prominent structural divisions, combing movements, and protecting the sofa area from being overlooked by the privacy of a glance. The square floor-to-ceiling windows and translucent soft tulle exude the poetry of the “water curtain”, purifying the space and emptying the mind. Space, as an extension of the spiritual world of its inhabitants, does not necessarily seek amazement, but rather a refined and introspective attitude to life. At the same time, space is not only a physical form of existence, but a carrier of emotions and atmosphere. When the inhabitants leave, the space does not become empty, it continues to serve as evidence that the occupant is “still here” in the form of character, divinity, sound, etc.

02 Extensions - Narrative and Links

The western kitchen and middle cook are divided according to the false ceiling. The white is black, while reinforcing the boundaries of the area, while adjusting the concave shape, in order to create a panoramic minimalist atmosphere with visual harmony. Reinventing the expressiveness of marble with an oblique cutting method, accompanying Nakajima, stitching the dining table, paralleling the western kitchen, completes the overall narrative of the dining kitchen space.

03 Overseas - Integration and Guidance

Create a three-dimensional grid that modernizes the atmosphere of the wild, immerses in coffee tones, resonates with the earth, and brings the flavors into the form. The greenery has its own geometric form, and the poetic landscape is built with a rich and refined vitality. Create compositions that complement each other with dotted lines, add a combination of long seats and table chairs, again echoing the black and white and gray art. At the beginning of each layer, the family crest conveys a strong emotional value, incorporating the initials X and H of the two owners' surnames, demonstrating the endless pursuit of quality of life and a deep understanding of “home and love.” It is hoped that through design, each space can become a living, emotional entity, in which one feels the rhythm and rhythm of life.

04 Cavitation - Differentiation and refinement

As Luis Barragan said: “Architecture is a living entity that is not only a container, but a medium capable of stimulating people's emotions.” Comply with the body's instinctive desire for sleep, creating a warm and comfortable habitat that seeks not only functional satisfaction, but spiritual and aesthetic sublimation. The rich and soft striped background cushions the frame's mutations in a balanced sequence and visual contrast, delivering pampering to the sleeping area, creating an eagerly awaited dream. The ceiling lights combine the childish charm of irregular beds, milky chairs and contrasting monochromatic cabinets to create a carefree atmosphere in a private space in a soft, triangular layout. Calm your mind with neutral colors and write about how you live peacefully. The wood element, which not only builds the skeleton of the space, but also the creator of atmosphere and atmosphere, cleverly intertwines the natural rhythm with the atmosphere of the interior, achieving an aesthetic experience that “transcends the ordinary, touches the soul”. At its core, the existence of space is ultimately designed to serve its inhabitants, and the real meaning of its design lies in its extraction. Wall-mounted toilets and suspended cabinets maintain the cleanliness of the ground and the breathability of dry areas. The progressive dry and wet relationship reveals a sense of ritual of life.

05 Traceability - Habitat and Mind

The space, whether it is new or flowing in waves, truly gives it its unique spirit, is a glimpse of the spiritual light captured in the inhabitants' free will and in its subtleties. Space and life are not simply being and being, but influencing each other and shaping each other.
