It is a three-bedroom, two-room apartment with an actual usable area of about 90 square meters, the initial layout is moderate and does not have noticeable functional hardiness, but, like most commercial rooms, is closed between the spaces, like a dense, barely perforated stone. On our first visit to the site, however, we were struck by the wide field of vision, with the magical sky and clouds in front of us, creating great tension between the man-made and the natural landscape. The rising clouds are reminiscent of lake stones in the garden, porous and pleated. We also want to punch holes in this naughty stone, loosening the tissue and leaving it out of the pattern.

Opening Opening
The main user of the space is a family of three people, two cats, a few plants, and occasional family friends. The original living room separator could not satisfy our ideas about the living scene. Just like a cat in the crawling stage, there is no concept of a living room restaurant kitchen bedroom, a destination and a place to play as long as you can reach it will never be missed. In the same way, we want to transcend the barriers of regular functionality.
First, we removed the two partitions of the kitchen, dug a round hole in the south wall of the children's room, and then properly expanded the main bedroom opening into a circle. Both round holes have a sliding door. When opened, the boundaries of the public space extend open, connecting the spaces with each other. The originally enclosed independent room has a sense of being centered around the guest restaurant, and the latter thus acquires the feeling of being surrounded by a similar traditional courtyard.

Due to the opening released in the partition, the plane forms a visual channel on both the south-north and something axes, but emptiness is not desirable and multiple levels of gradation are fun. So we placed a large table at the intersection of the cross axis, relieving the whiteness of the entrance gate opposite the main door, giving visual and physical activity a little pause. THE SPACIOUS LOCATION OF THE LARGE TABLE ALSO OBSCURES OUR LIFESTYLE: IT HAS LONG SINCE REPLACED THE TV AND HAS BECOME A HEART-LIKE HOME CENTER — EATING, MAKING TEA, WORKING, READING... NOT ONLY A CENTER OF VISION, BUT ALSO A HOST FOR A VARIETY OF EVERYDAY BEHAVIORS.
The kitchen after the removal of the walls is an important part of the enclosure of the public space. The enlarged countertop extends beyond the original kitchen contour and extends into the dining room, one corner of which is directly opposite the opening of the adjacent bedroom. At the same time, the dining room ceiling cabinet extends into the kitchen, increasing storage space while limiting space. The sliding door surface of the storage on the south side of the countertop is a whole mirror, and adults can see the mirrored view of the children's room in the kitchen, reducing the guardianship blind area and helping with parent-child care and interaction.

Round hole Round hole
The shape of the two roundholes is quickly determined when the previous push is made. There are two reasons: one is the thought of the double round hole in the Art Garden. Several visits, trips back and forth, the space seemed divided and matched, and love finally overcame doubts about the use of form. Leaving aside the tradition of carrying round holes means that the scene is more interesting after the round addition, especially when viewed between bedrooms, the double string sets, and the spatial overlap is stronger. Whether open, the hollow shape gives the bedroom a sense of direction pointing to the public space and provides a positive, slightly desirable surround interface to the public space.
Another reason for round holes is that arcs give more inspiration to body posture than horizontal vertical squares. Whether it's an adult or a child or a cat, or leaning or lying down or sitting or crawling, randomly adapt, a hole like a large piece of furniture that blends into a wall.
The round hole is “transformed” according to actual needs - one half of the main bedroom is guaranteed to “land” passage, the other half naturally forms an arched wall that can be relied on. The change in the degree of opening of the wooden doors produces a different hiding effect; the round hole in the children's room should be adapted to the body, with the legs stretched out straight and straight, aligned with the west side. Kitchen countertops find alignment. Frosted glass sliding doors hidden on both sides provide the necessary conditions for independent use of the children's room. In order to rely on the wider floor space, the thick wall deepens the depth of the hole, while the cavity in other parts of the thick wall digs for storage space and some “vague” holes that are “vague” - I did not think how to use it at first, but let the house cat step in first.
In accordance with the circular arc syntax, the entrance to the passage to the guest bedroom and bathroom also leads a quarter circle, making it also like an opening, actively participating in the public space. At the very end of the passage is the guest bedroom, with a piece of frosted glass on the door, which is not right against the bed, the light is slightly translucent, a subtle hole that perceives the noise inside and outside the room.

Bedroom Bedroom
For bedroom space, there are two basic functions - sleeping and storage, corresponding to the bed and cabinet. The layout of the latter is the main aspect of spatial design.
Children's room, slightly fun and mannered. Finally, we made a wooden mat that covers the entire width of the face, can be slept and stored, and on top there is a wooden box that rotates at a certain angle, and the air conditioner can also be stored. The window openings are covered with wooden windows, also like a box — an empty box filled with city and natural scenery. One corner of it and the suspension are connected at an angle, visually as if the former flew off the top of the latter, if only to leave. In the end, the wooden boxes with 3 variations above and below form a set of three-dimensional sculptures that also become a scene in a public space when the hollow is opened.
The master bedroom is the most common layout, with a cabinet on one side with two empty compartments serving as a doorway to the bathroom. Another bed for family and friends to stay occasionally, small in size, with a rope bed and two in one, occupies the entire wall. The folding bed can be folded down when not in use, increasing the flexibility of using the room.

Color Color
The color strategy is based on a white based tone, adding a small piece of color to each space due to geographical constraints. If you want to see “night sky blue” when looking at the bed, the master bedroom ceiling is brushed with a dark blue paint with low saturation and low brightness, which is close to black at some angles and in the light; the guest bedroom faces northwest, with less direct sunlight, so use a red “warm room”; the children's room has a sufficient amount of warm wood, no additional Add color; the public restroom has three separations, while the toilet has been painted in a bright yellow color, obscuring the “golden” color; the master bedroom bathroom is hidden behind the entire cabinet, and the dark black is used to enhance the “cave” feeling. The kitchen countertop background wall is made of orange-red mosaic stone, and the natural texture is a mixed abstract of several ingredients. The green magnetic-lacquered wall at the entrance gate provides a plane where you can easily doodle.
The color of the balcony belongs to nature. When you first arrived at the venue, you were planning to create a view on the balcony — a view associated with the fake mountain lake rock, juxtaposed with magic's most iconic skyline. In order to save space, it is planned to leave the fake rock wall hanging, but real lake stones are expensive and difficult to find the right shape, and the weight is difficult to fix. Instead, a more suitable material was found - high-density sponge. Completely by hand, the shape of the mountain is torn out, the stone's gnarled texture is visible in the distance, the texture is soft at close range, and a stool is hidden in the largest of the hang-outs, which you can sit on your legs, even in response to the traditional “walkable” garden. The cats soon discovered this water treasure, and often frolicked at the “stone” and stared at the air.

Light Light
The exterior window openings of commercial homes are limited and cannot be changed, so there is little effort in the design of natural lighting to ensure that it is as bright as possible and provides proper shading. But thanks to the low level of shading, the early morning sunlight illuminates the space at a low angle, casting vivid light on the vertical surfaces of walls, curtains, and so on, like a leatherette. More surprisingly, in the spring-summer afternoons, the sun reflected from the glass curtain wall of a high-rise building in Lujiazui 5 km outside and fell on the white walls of the interior, which was polluted by light and “filtered” by plants on the balcony, creating a wonderful sight of tree hues.
In terms of artificial light, indirect diffused light is the main focus and the multi-level change of light from bright to dark is taken into account. As an example of a common space: To make the most of the space and keep it square, arrange all of the custom cabinets along the sides of the space, and arrange three linear light sources around the ceiling cabinet from bottom to top: cabinet under the wall with a light washer; cabinet has a row of dimming light strips towards the top Light illuminates the interior of the cabinet; the topmost tube diffuses along the arched ceiling. Combinations of different light sources match different lighting requirements.
Individuals prefer quiet light compared to bright light environments. Returning from the bustling and bustling urban environment of the daily work, the light is diffused, comforting, and more in keeping with the natural attributes of the home at night.
