Villa Olivos is a fusion of environment, client and architecture. Its residents have a unique history and are closely connected to the town. Quesa is a region in the interior of Valencia, a small Mediterranean village that originated in Arabia. This client couple is from Barcelona and spent several summers in the area as children. When they revisit the town, they reconnect with the locals and the environment, which begins the story of Olivos House. The land is located on the outskirts of the city center and is a link between the buildings and the countryside. This is the last urban olive field on the outskirts of the city government, which makes it a good project opportunity.
The villa blends perfectly with the environment through a variety of building resources. First, three sky-facing courtyards, olive trees, while providing privacy. Secondly, a large porch with Mediterranean culture and warm climate features, which resists the heat from the West and serves as a transition between indoors and outdoors. Third, a large longitudinal platform with a swimming pool that extends to the olive fields, where spectacular sunset views can be seen. Finally, large windows connect the entrance, garden and courtyard to all the interior spaces of the house. The project stands out for its internal and external connections. All indoor spaces are visually connected to spectacular olive fields, which is a feature of the area. Thus, creating magical visuals, links and light shadows, the olive field is always the protagonist of the villa.
