This project is an old house renovation project located in Chaoyang District, Beijing, with a building area of 93 ㎡. The couple wants to have an open, bright living space that fits the needs of urban living where they live.
After entering, one side is a walk-in closet for storing clothes; on one side is a three-separate toilet. The mirror ghost door saves open space and acts as a walk-in mirror to visually extend the corridor. Multi-space combinations are processed in the form of LDK (living room, restaurant, kitchen), so that the spaces are interconnected and permeated with each other. Increased living space while improving indoor ventilation and lighting.
The suspended TV cabinet embeds a screen on one side, used to store, hide equipment and wires, to ensure the cleanliness of the space. When placed in the TV cabinet, the movement lines change between different directions, and the free-flowing spatial layout makes the life scene richer. The open kitchen is combined with the restaurant to form a space for meals and cooking. All kitchen appliances are built in and arranged according to the owner's cooking habits, ensuring convenient operation.
The dining table and Nakajima are made of beige and white natural cave stones. The surface is sealed to prevent the penetration of oil stains. The whole room has a white base, combined with natural stone, adding warmth and creaminess to the space. On the left side of the door and behind the TV cabinet, there is a washing area and a cleaning area. Suspended TV cabinets effectively block the view of the washroom area and form a functional diversion line. The cleaning area has plenty of storage space to store household appliances, cleaning supplies, etc., effectively avoiding the accumulation of debris and keeping the passage clean and smooth.
The movable bedroom door is positioned to reserve whole-wall storage for the master bedroom to meet living storage needs. The bedroom balcony takes the form of a floating window. Under the countertop, it also has storage functions, leaning in front of the window to see the bustle of the city. The bedroom continues the atmosphere of pure white space, to the point of serenity. The co-sleeping office area can be used as a separate study room to meet the needs of the husband's home office. Spacious hidden storage and temporary beds make it convenient for families to stay.
