Interior Design | 15 Floor, Changsha Z Residence

The project is located in Kaifu District, Changsha, with a floor height of about 4.38 meters. It is part of the Changsha River skyline and is the homeowner's second residence. We do not consider the two-level layout of the regular space, but we want to have a full elevated part of the space, since the sun and the view require a passage. No matter where you stand, the view in front of you is transparent and bright, so you can interact with the sun and feel the warmth of the air flow anytime, anywhere.

The layout of the whole house is to allow the two-storey space to achieve “dynamic separation”. The ground floor is the “moving” area, which contains the restaurant, kitchen, living room, toilet, laundry area; the upper floor is the “quiet” area, which contains the master bedroom, study, cloakroom, wardrobes, storage room, temporary room. “The sparrow is small, but full of filth.”

We use birch laminate as the main material of furniture design, enhancing the overall space and creating a natural relaxed living feeling. Tiles and walls are based on white binding, and clean and bright. Western kitchen cabinets and home cabinets naturally surround the bathroom partition wall with their backs, forming a complete functional loop. The space is filled with elements of hollow holes, such as table legs, small strollers in the living room, half-wall bars on the second floor, hanging rail doors for bathrooms, etc. When you lie on the bed, you can naturally see the view outside the window through the round hole. The seasons are more varied and the scenery is not the same. Four round holes are made in the half-wall of the second tier. On one side, two layers of illumination are added, and on the other hand it can serve as a decoration of the overall space. The tabletop is fixed to the wall, the tabletop is higher than the round hole, and the half-wall is higher than the tabletop. Sitting in a chair, your eyes can easily look out the window, and work and study become a very good indicator of happiness. Both sides of the main bedroom bedside background wall are the entrances to the master and cloakroom.
