Riviera Apartment is a minimalist apartment in Nice, France, designed by Studio Cent Soixante. The redesigned space is 100 ㎡, designed to encapsulate Mediterranean charm while providing a modern and luxurious environment. The makeover introduces a brand new layout including two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a custom kitchen and island terrace built from enamelled lava rock to add color to the space.
The oak detailing, the floor and the yellow striped zellige tiles of the shower room are all locally sourced, further enhancing the apartment's link to its regional roots. The architectural design fully considers the local climate. By placing windows on relative walls, the apartment promotes cross-ventilation and greatly reduces the dependence on air conditioning in the warmer months. A striking feature is the custom-made large glass and oak door compartments.
