Located in the Atlantic Forest overlooking the sea, this villa seems to hover among the woods, like a vast ocean observation post. To implement this idea, the 4-meter-high metal wing is covered with wood and supported by an “L” shaped metal structure, fixed to the raised concrete beams.
On a functional layout, the bedroom is located on a lower level with large windows and balconies overlooking the forest. The first floor contains guest bedrooms and offices, while the second floor is reserved for other suites. Below this area is a fitness and leisure area with a hot spring, sauna and gym. The middle floor is located at the same height as the treeline, the living room in the social area and the dining area and the terrace with the pool enhance the feeling of immersion in nature. The rooftop terrace offers 180-degree sea views, giving people the fresh air of the sea breeze and vegetation.
Natural stone, including all irregular exterior wall coverings, and wood composed of materials harmonizes with the existing landscape, while also forming a contrast with the lush forests around it. Indoors, most of the furniture is the work of architect Arthur Casas, such as fusca sofas, quilombo desks and square coffee tables.
