We are not artists, we are observers of this world — Kirby
This is the second collaboration between the designer and the owner. The first set is a villa of almost 1,000 square meters, designed with a large area of white and wood furniture, highlighting the beauty of the interior space structure. In this case, the different types of outdoor landscapes and types, how to better highlight the relationship between the exterior landscape and the interior in the design, the designer and the owner clashed several times, setting a completely different design tone from the previous one, extending the sofas and parts from the previous house. Wooden furniture, the overall tone in a dark base, complemented by a log finish, makes the space more pure. Quiet in the middle of the alarm is for the sake of silence.
The project is located on the shores of Jinji Lake in Suzhou, where you can enjoy a view of the unique lake and two lakes at a glance, like an endless bay. All of Suzhou's landmarks such as the Oriental Gate, the Moonlight Pier, the National Gold Center are all to see. “Design is more about creating, it's about discovery and the way the world communicates.” Lead designer Wang said. The living room retains a height of almost 6 meters. The background uses coarse volcanic rocks, which maximally restores the visual and sensory characteristics of the material itself, preserving the original texture of the material. A warm, real fire fireplace adds a touch of softness to the sculptural space. Return to the original texture of stone, wood and fire, without making too many alterations, to return to nature and feel the true beauty of nature. For a better shared view of the lake, the space has been planned with 16 function areas, and 13 activity function zones surround the lake. The master bedroom and living room are designed with a large area of floor glass, so you can sunbathe at home in good weather.
The dining table uses a naturally-textured ceramic plate texture that blends perfectly with the fine metal of the table legs, and the overall shape is sculptural. The premium feel of the space does not come from expensive materials, but just the right fit. As Swiss architect Tzumto said: “Every contact, every interface, every seam is there to emphasize the tranquility of the work of imagination.” Metal and glass are also another form of stone, with the cabinet door panel of the Western kitchen choosing a combination of glass and metal, the collision of internal glass drawers and logs to embody the highest standards of contemporary industrial design in the German kitchen with a touch of sophistication and warmth.
The suspended minimalist wooden staircase, like an independent space sculpture with a wall on one side, shows the beauty of modern craftsmanship, and the collision of wood and stone adds a touch of atmosphere and fun to the space. The living room on one floor is more for guests, and the living room on the second floor is completely a private living space and a small activity center for the family. To solve the problem of the beam structure, the master bedroom has been designed to create a floating, square-like space, like a large space, allowing the entire bedroom to float. The designers designed the entire two-level space into an oversized suite and divided into several zones according to the functions: bedroom, fitness area, toilet, dry and wet area, two cloakrooms, living room, tea room, study. Each space is independent and connected. The main bedroom area is made of the same Italian soil, with a wall ceiling, which corresponds to the lake view outside the window. The large floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the entire view of Jinji Lake, offering stunning views of Suzhou.
The bedroom wall ceiling material itself has a soft sheen, and the sun hits the ground, giving it a skin-like delicacy. Due to the ample lighting, the interior chose a warm, natural-textured Spanish rock tile. Create a sense of calm and tranquility with stone. “The collision of natural logs and boulders allows the natural properties of wood and stone to be presented. Restoring the natural properties of building materials themselves are greater than all man-made.” As the designer Wang Jin said. A dry and wet area is separated in the bathroom. The wall and floor use a uniform material, hidden storage system, exquisite hardware and metal fittings. Every line of the space is carefully calculated and every detail strived to the utmost Beauty.
