The villa is built on the top of a hill created during the development of the land. The residential plot covers about 830 ㎡ and is located in a location with panoramic views of the nearby mountains. A path that looks like a forest path branches off from a road at the foot of the hill and leads to the entrance of the villa. Customers demand to create the extraordinary in their daily lives while making the most of their location. Then Kimura Kuichi Architects planned a hill-facing courtyard as a borrowed landscape. The building consists of a horizontally emphasized volumetric shape and walls surrounding the courtyard. The height of the walls has been determined so that a huge ridge can be seen from the room. It was designed to blend in with the architecture, creating a beautiful skyline, making it part of the new landscape and further enhancing the landscape value of the area.
The unplanted cobblestone garden is designed as a blank space. With the background landscape as a borrowed view, it gives one an extended quiet space. To create an extraordinary effect, the space under the eaves was designed into a pool and a room facing the courtyard. Visually connecting the interior and exterior, it shows different situations every second, so it is used as a gallery. A landscape reflected in water and/or light, combined with the objects placed there, creates an exquisite scene. The separate partition walls attract attention from the interior, dispersing the light from the skylight, making the space more impressive. Benches, walls and ceilings always extend beyond the glass partitions that separate the inside and outside. The building absorbs the landscape and the external environment. Each separate room utilizes clear vision and natural light to create a continuous space while being fragmented. The villa looks very quiet and will continue to create a fresh and extraordinary space experience in daily life.
