Home L is a minimalist aesthetic apartment in Xi'an, designed by 7F Design. A small study room that was initially too narrow and could not meet the needs of the homeowner, was later redesigned as a tea room to become a striking visual element in the home. The transformation was achieved by covering dark wood finishes on ceilings, walls and floors, which meets homeowners' desire for a quiet space dedicated to relaxation and meditation.
This apartment adapts to the homeowner's lifestyle in a number of ways. For example, Nakajima in the kitchen can be used both as a dining area and as a temporary office, embodying the homeowner's simple eating habits and the need for functional space. This option not only optimizes space utilization, but also significantly reduces storage costs by cleverly hiding the dining cabinet behind the door panel. The sleeping area has been reconfigured to combine the two bedrooms into a more cohesive suite consisting of a bedroom, a storage room and an en suite bathroom. This layout facilitates the seamless transition of rest, has an open hanging area for clothes, which is very practical for nighttime daily activities and maintains the minimalist style of the apartment.
