OEO Studio has completed the renovation of a luxury apartment located in Opus Arisugawa Terrace & Residence in the center of Tokyo, Japan. Working closely with Japanese real estate developer Rebita, the project is a striking and sophisticated tribute to the process. The interior design reflects the cross-fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian design, drawing inspiration from the two cultures and reinterpreting them in new ways. The result is a quality and quality-conscious home that combines familiar comfort and Nordic style.
The sculptural shape of the rampart wall provides an arriving texture. This effect represents a technology with centuries of history that creates the illusion of bringing the outdoors into the interior. Dark blue indigo tiles lay on the floor, showing an amazing level of craftsmanship from the beginning, through to carpets made from Finnish birch twine. In their design, carpets resemble Japanese textile patterns. The corridor leads directly to the living room, a natural transition from the carpet to the inlaid stone. When passing through the exquisite curtain wall, the stone passes to the wooden floor of the adjacent room, the blinds can be opened or closed. Privacy — Like OEO, it's all in the details.
Unpretentious furniture can be found from Gubi, Stellar Works, and Brdr. Next to Krüger is also custom-designed furniture and curated wall art by Finnish artist Jaakko Mattila and Danish photographer Søren Rønholt. THE JAPANESE OTANI STONE USED ON THE PILLAR EMPHASIZES THE NATURAL DIVISION BETWEEN THE LIVING AREA AND THE OPEN KITCHEN WITH ITS SUBTLE GREEN COLOR. The kitchen is designed by OEO Studio and made in Denmark by their long-time collaborator, cabinet and kitchen manufacturer Garde Hvalsøe. The kitchen and dining space blend naturally, adding brightness to warm and natural materials once again.
The bedroom is decorated with custom furniture from brands Karakter, Brdr, etc. Kruger, Star Engineering and Fritzhanson. The adjoining bathroom has complementary stone carvings and wooden cabinets, and one of them even offers an exquisite bathtub made of cypress wood. Blessed are you, because there is nothing more tactile than Japanese and Scandinavian design combined.
