Sustainable architectural design|34 sqm furnished house reevolution [The aesthetics of tranquility in order]

When “Won't Be” Meets Space Design: Truly Belonging to Your Own Home

When it comes to remodeling a home, we often hear homeowners say, “I don't like this style, but I can't tell why it's uncomfortable.” , “I just don't want to.” Behind these words, what we feel is not just a lack of style, but a deep pursuit of the “ideal sense of life.”

Many commercial craft houses call for “premium feel” and “patterned sophistication”, but cannot truly accommodate the unique rhythm and emotional needs of each user. The main focus of this time is a residential space located in Wuhan, about 34 sqm. From demolition, reconstruction to redesign, we jointly created an ideal residence with the owners to coexist with order and tranquility.

Space Recycling: The Logic of Life from Demolition to Construction

✅ REMOVE EXCESS COMPARTMENTS TO ALLOW BODY AND VISION TO MOVE FREELY

In plane motion optimization, the first step is to “let the wall recede.” We remove walls that block the view, allowing light to flow naturally into the pediments, living rooms and public areas, giving the space a more breathable feeling. This is not just an aesthetic decision, but a scale design that respects the “person”, allowing residents to naturally release sensory stress during walks.

The Dual Composition of Material and Atmosphere: From Hardware to Emotions

✅ Warm home language of aged wood

Wood is the most emotional soothing material. THIS TIME WE DISCARDED THE ORIGINAL AIR-CONDITIONED TILES AND INSTEAD LAID WOODEN FLOORS IN A CONSISTENT COLOR TONE. The delicate craftsmanship of the curved ceiling is combined to create a soft and warm atmosphere of space. The colors and textures of the wood have been selected in layers, giving the overall space a sense of order.

✅ Soft “Breaking” mode: the fun of neutral tones colliding with cold and warm

The design does not seek uniformity, but rather breaks down a single beat with softness. A combination of neutral USM storage cabinets, metal materials and small square mirrors, combined with black and white abstract wall paintings, presents a level of sophistication in the collision of cold and warm. This “just-in-you-go” design language also makes the space more bearable.

Study Room × Tea Room: You can leave the spirit of the perfect

✅ New living space for quiet reading and tasting, light work

The study and tea rooms are designed with an openable design concept that can be flexibly converted into a work, lounge or reception area with ultra-narrow frame three-link glass sliding doors. The design requires consistency with the space wood color, natural tones and visual clarity.

Take a sip of tea and sit down and read; Ramen is an easy place to share life with your family. The wall of the study is combined with the main bedroom wardrobe, and the mirror design combines visual magnification and storage practicality.

✅ Shaded corner: small window connecting the tea room and the balcony

This small window in size becomes the most poetic visual end of the space. The sun breaks through the shutters and splashes between the table and the teacups, adding a touch of serenity to everyday life.

MASTER BEDROOM DESIGN: TRANQUILITY IS THE MOST LUXURIOUS EVERYDAY

✅ Rectilinear wooden background wall, creating balanced visual order

The master bedroom continues the overall wooden vocabulary, with a leather finish and straight lines, creating a concise, smooth visual rhythm, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere of rest. There is no fancy design here, but a return to the essence of “sleeping well” as a space.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Why do I need to transform the master house?
A: Most custom homes are designed for the sales market, lacking in personalization and functionality, and can be transformed to truly respond to homeowners' lifestyle and aesthetic needs.

Q2: Is wood flooring suitable for Taiwan's humid climate?
A: Yes, as long as you choose a moisture-proof wooden floor and the correct construction, it will be maintained for a long time and will not be easily deformed.

Q3: Will the budget for such a transformation be high?
A: Budgets vary depending on the degree of transformation and materials, but textural spaces can also be achieved within reasonable limits through design integration and local adjustments.

Q4: Can a small space also have a sense of tranquility?
A: Of course you can. By mastering movement, light, and materials, a smaller space can be optimized for a quiet, orderly, comfortable living space.

The order of space, the freedom of the heart

In this 34-storey residence, [sustainable architectural design] is not only about designing a beautiful space, but also allowing life and feelings to be reassured. We believe that every home that truly belongs to the homeowner should release stress, carry the soul, and be the best vessel for “quiet order.”
