Increase Illumination — Decrease Heat Transmission
In the existing deeper larger plane, the elevation towards something is not conducive to the sustainability of housing in a tropical climate. Therefore, to ensure that each interior feature area receives 300 lux of natural light, the architects replaced the sun-blocking walls with a series of glass brick combinations that allow the light to penetrate deep into the center of the house through refraction.
In addition, in order to reduce the direct heat on the facade of things, the design uses the most efficient way to connect the house directly to the front and back patio. Open-air balconies on both sides ensure that the heat slowly released by the house at night can quickly form vertical air flow. Thus, each room after the renovation was able to enjoy ample daylight during the day without having to compromise on lighting.

The mini garden inside the house is integrated into the small front, middle, and back patio of the site to ensure that the plantings do not block the light entering the house.
The transformation preserves much of the original structure while simplifying unnecessary elements, emphasizing more basic spatial functions.
Designed to plant garden paths in the house, creating an ever-changing environment for the living space, over time, the ever-changing experience will also give a unique freshness to family life. And as lifestyles change in the future, translucent glass tiles will also be recorded as blank canvas for creative family stories.
