JAMES STOCKWELL | Australian Bunkeren Seaview Villa, a home like this can be called wild luxury! Sea View Villa

Designed for a couple and their four young children, Bunkeren Villa is also suitable for regular gatherings and meals for large families with close ties to the area, and is a relatively large five-bedroom residence and studio. The project's main kitchen, restaurant and living space extends from the bottom of the entrance stairs to the sea view. On the left, along the contour are the children's bedroom and bathroom. At the intersection of these main side wings of the dwelling, an adaptable living room or study can be created by sliding panels or by keeping them open, to soften or cushion the flow path between private and public spaces. Behind the kitchen is a series of smaller storage and learning spaces, leaving a group of common spaces where you can enjoy the views of Dudley Beach at a glance.

ACROSS THE BUILDING'S SPACIOUS, UNINTERRUPTED SPAN, THE PUBLIC AREAS OFFER A PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE COASTLINE, AND AN EXQUISITE CHANDELIER MATRIX IS USED TO CREATE A WARM POOL OF LIGHT, ENHANCING THE SCALE OF THE PROJECT AND ITS ATMOSPHERE AS A FAMILY RESIDENCE. The seating area was included in the plan to make the landscape flow throughout the project. Accessed from the landscaped north terrace, is a raised concrete swimming pool that separates the main house from a separate guest studio, which includes a bedroom, living room and bathroom. Along the south side of the building, an unsightly narrow staircase connects the kitchen to the lowest part of the house — another connection to the ground where Bunkeren is located, before entering the sunken lounge. It is directly carved from the sandstone that runs through the site.

Throughout the space on the main floor of the house, carefully crafted concrete walls and concrete slabs seem to hover off the edge of the hillside, carefully separated by a narrow glass “moat” that washes the retaining walls under the light filtered by the roof landscape. In the lower space of the stone room — a cellar and special family dinner Rooms — These exquisite walls rest entirely on rock and earth. The architect noticed early on the site that the gravel itself is almost like concrete, has a certain shape. If you can carve a little on the rock, you can build a cellar and a room, half rock, half architecture, half landscape, half architecture.
