Designed by Hong Kong Hero Design Group around the theme of “modern Paris”, this tranquil apartment features a bright, open layout full of casual elegance. Located on a peninsula in Hong Kong, just beneath the lush greenery of the Pacific Mountain, this tranquil home is for a newlywed couple who are about to have their first child Design. When considering design spaces, designers consider how to make the 135 ㎡ apartment as spacious as possible, while ensuring that the interior view of each room is harmonious.
Customers love to host dinners and cook for family and friends, so the designer decided to make the kitchen the center of their home. Calacatta gold marble countertops, olive green cabinets, marble tiles and brass fixtures bring an elegant and refined look to the kitchen. An Oishimadai anchored kitchen, making it a fun place for informal dining or casual gatherings. The striking white La Cornue stove blends in with cabinets and marble surfaces, paying homage to 20th-century French life and emphasizing the retro chic atmosphere. The client imagined a modern Parisian theme for the home, although aesthetics ended up developing into a very personalized style. The result is a timeless style with minimal built-in furniture to be redesigned in the future.
With a full-height French door leading to the dining area, RH's navy blue velvet lounge chairs are paired with a custom Poltrona Frau marble table. IN THE ADJACENT LIVING ROOM, A CUSTOM-MADE LARGE WHITE L-SHAPED SOFA IS COMBINED WITH A BLACK WOODEN TABLE FROM RH TO FORM A RELAXING ENVIRONMENT. Separating the living room with additional French doors, the bright study and guest rooms are designed as natural extensions of the living area. Behind the living room sofa, a hidden door leads to the master bedroom and its open-plan bathroom, where large windows overlook the mountains, allowing the space to bathe in natural light. French doors separate the bed from the bath area, recreating the sense of openness and transparency that permeates other spaces in the home.
