Fresh combination of landscape, space, and materials
THE FEELING OF FRESHNESS OFTEN DISAPPEARS IN THE PROCESS OF FAMILIARITY. LIVING SPACES THAT ALLOW RESIDENTS TO CONSTANTLY FIND THE PLEASURE OF LIVING IN THEIR ORDINARY DAILY LIVES ALSO HAVE A HOME THAT CAN REMAIN “FRESH”.

Project overview
Located in the residential area of Shunyi Central Villas in Beijing, five floors underground and independent living space with enough space to meet the daily living needs of three generations of owners.

Introducing the landscape to make the underground space “natural”

THE OVERALL PLAN OF THE TWO FLOORS OF THE BASEMENT IS DESIGNED TO BE A DAILY LEISURE AND ENTERTAINMENT SPACE FOR FAMILY MEMBERS, PRESERVING THE PATIO WINDOW AND PICKUP AREA ON EACH FLOOR, AND REMOVING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE THE ORIGINAL NON-WEIGHT-BEARING PHYSICAL PARTITION WALLS AND ADOPTING GLASS DOORS/COMPARTMENTS OF DIFFERENT TRANSPARENCY TO ALLOW NATURAL LIGHT TO REACH MORE AREAS. The landscape pond is planted with greenery on the second floor under the illuminated windows, the sun illuminates the two-level patio sprinkled with plants, and the underground space is instantly fresh. Set aside a space for activities in front of the landscape. Clean lines and materials make it possible to do more. You can plant flowers, exercise, work out, paint and tea, etc. The audiovisual space is also a passage to the landscape space, with glass doors of different transparency on both sides, giving a clear view of the sunny landscape. When using the video function, close the dark blackout curtains in the glass doors on both sides to temporarily close the room. The soundproof soft bag fabric at the back and the natural wood finish restore a high-quality audiovisual environment. The ground floor is a place for children to stay and play. An activity area with a mix of landscape swings, crafts, climbing games, video and reading are available for children to choose from. The climbing function of the play area is hidden in the overall collection of fixed furniture walls. The uniform natural wood material interior features vibrant color contrasts. Arched openings and sliding-open colored doors allow children to climb freely and freely to climb.

Unique materials make everyday feel “fresh”

The living space on three floors above the ground adds a sense of freshness with unique materials and workmanship. A grey-green paint, and five different colored waterstones come in a variety of combinations to become exquisite details that are different and balanced in each interior. GRAY-GREEN PAINT EXTENDS FROM A DOORWAY, LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN TO TWO FLOORS. JUMPS APPEAR IN DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, AREAS, OR MORE OR LESS, IN MANY OR LESS WAYS, TO EMBODY DIFFERENT SPATIAL TEXTURES AND ACTIVE ATMOSPHERES.

Five different colored bone grindstones are cut into shapes and grouped together to create new patterns with a different feel. Retro, mysterious, lively, become a unique decorative background for the interior local wall/floor, which is occasionally seen in everyday corners or slides, fresh and fun. The master bedroom uses a black and white two-tone skeleton accent texture, retaining the original high symmetrical sloping roof and illuminating it with general-beam lighting, giving sleep a ceremonial feel. The children's and elderly bedroom is designed with natural wood and cloth softshell design dedicated to reading space. Like a cabin on a large tree, you can wrap yourself inside and enjoy a quiet reading time. Living space reflects the state of life of the family, and the living space of each family should be vibrant and able to stay “fresh”.
