FeelDesign
When design carries emotions and memories, the home is no longer just a place to live, but a concrete representation of the aesthetics of life. The 39-storey Shanghai loft, designed with wooden board architecture, demonstrates the depth and power of oriental aesthetics by retaining the elements of a dojo bungalow and combining the design concept of a rustic nature. This article will take you through this project, from design highlights to practical features to a comprehensive analysis of how to interpret simple beauty with modern methods.
The living room is the central highlight of the entire space, with the teak wall as the visual focus, symbolizing a spiritual fortress of warmth and stability. The floor is made of earthen stone French tiling to set a natural tone for the space. The back of the sofa rests on the stone Nakajima, which not only optimizes the visual fluidity, but also clarifies the functional division.
The designers retained the original sloping roof structure and wrapped beams with teak wood and vintage steel windows, allowing natural sunlight to flow into the space, adding a warm atmosphere. The original tiger windows have been transformed into round tall windows that look like “eyes” of space, adding a sense of inspiration to the whole.
The wooden spiral staircase becomes an important element that connects one floor to the attic, its design is inspired by the retro style of French townhouses and has a modern abstract finish. Stairs are like elegant notes in space, inserted into the overall structure, enhancing the rhythm and rhythm of the space.
The two-storey loft is mainly planned as a children's room, but it is designed to satisfy the emotional memories of parents and children's school life. The tatami area, with traditional green grass seats, combined with a natural atmosphere, creates a comfortable resting space and is a great place to let in.
The master bedroom features teak double doors as an entrance, showing the elegance of a minimalist design. The back of the bed is specially thickened to form a storage case, a built-in light strip and a rotatable LED reading light for convenience and comfort at night. The magnetic charging device above the bed allows technology to blend seamlessly into the minimalist design.
The bedroom interior continues with natural materials and vintage details. The floors are heated with wood and white steel checkered floorboards allow sunlight and dappled shade to blend in, creating a peaceful and warm living atmosphere.
The entire space is based on natural materials such as wood, stone, brick, glass, paper and cloth, embodying a design concept of sustainability and simplicity. The teak wall panels of the living room with a rounded porthole shape, combined with a vintage wooden rotating staircase, unify the overall design vocabulary.
Each design detail tells a unique story: the design of the circular tall windows reflects the harmony of nature, while the wooden structure and French tiles show a deep fusion of Western culture, creating a time-travel atmosphere.
Teak wood is not only durable and stable, but also its natural tones create a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Maximize the use of sloped roof space by elevating design, functional furniture, and visually open planning.
French tiles are made in a collage of geometric patterns, which both enhance the visual level and add an artistic touch.
Perfect for modern homes that focus on natural aesthetics, nostalgia, and practical features.
